George Cameron is Senior Corporate Counsel advising on business development transactions for Bristol Myers Squibb in the United States. Before joining BMS, George was Assistant General Counsel, Business Development, at GlaxoSmithKline in the United States and United Kingdom; earlier, he was Of Counsel in Norton Rose Fulbright’s intellectual property and corporate practice groups focused on the life sciences and technology sectors in the United Kingdom and Australia. He has advised across the full biopharmaceutical asset lifecycle, from discovery through commercialization. His work spans license, collaboration, joint venture, investment, and M&A transactions. This work includes BMS’s license and collaboration agreements with Jiangsu Hengrui and the acquisition of Orbital Therapeutics; for GSK, the ABL Bio and 23andMe license and collaboration agreements, and the acquisition of Elsie Biotechnologies. George holds an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Melbourne and an LLB and BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Queensland, having also worked as a chemist for Mylan Australia before entering the law. Admitted in New York, England & Wales, and Australia, he has practiced law in all three jurisdictions. He focuses on pragmatic solutions to complex legal, business, and scientific issues that deliver strategic value while managing legal risk.
