Graham Cole is the Director of Intellectual Property for the City of Hope. As part of City of Hope’s Office of Technology Licensing, he oversees intellectual property strategy for an international portfolio of patent applications covering cell therapies, biologics, small molecules, diagnostics, and medical devices, including substantive patent prosecution and adversarial patent challenges. He advises researchers, business development colleagues, and institutional leaders on patent strategy, inventorship, confidential know-how, revenue sharing, pre-clinical research contracting, and technology licensing. Graham also helps develop internal policies and educational programs that translate complex intellectual property issues into practical guidance for faculty, staff, and commercialization teams. Graham is proud to be part of the City of Hope community and mission.
His perspective draws on experience across technology transfer, patent portfolio management, research contracting, licensing, and patent litigation. Prior to joining the City of Hope, Graham was a patent litigator representing clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and wireless telecommunications industries in high-stakes patent litigation.
