Mariella is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP), J.D. and IAM300 IP Strategist.
Drawing on her experience in licensing and litigation, Mariella works with the firm’s UPC team to assist with the development and implementation of tailored strategies aimed at maximizing and protecting the value of clients’ patent portfolios.
A substantial part of her experience was gained as an IP attorney-at-law in Italy, where she represented clients in complex and high-value intellectual property disputes.
Her practice has encompassed a broad range of matters, including patent, trade secret, design, copyright and trademark litigation and transactions, as well as unfair competition actions. She represented clients across diverse industries, including pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics, chemicals, software, heavy machinery, and household and industrial appliances.
Mariella is a regular speaker at international conferences and a frequent author on a range of intellectual property topics.
