Amir Naiberg

Amir Naiberg is an executive in technology commercialization, intellectual property management, and innovation ecosystem development, with broad experience directing scientific and medical research commercialization offices. He serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for the UCLA Technology Development Group (TDG) and President and CEO of the UCLA Technology Development Corporation, where he oversees the strategic translation of the university’s research enterprise. Under his leadership, TDG manages an academic portfolio of inventions and industrial alliances to support campus fellowships, research, and infrastructure. Deeply committed to regional economic development, Naiberg founded the Los Angeles Bioscience Ecosystem Summit (LABEST), a biotechnology partnering event that connects university researchers with global biopharmaceutical executives and venture capital firms. To support global public health initiatives, he also co-created UCLA’s Affordable Access Plan in collaboration with the WHO-backed Medicines Patent Pool. Prior to his current roles, Naiberg served as President and CEO of Yeda Research and Development Company, the commercial arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science, where he directed licensing strategies and structured research partnerships with global pharmaceutical leaders. He has also served as Co-Chairman of the Israel Technology Transfer Organization. Naiberg supports the broader innovation community through various board roles, including the Los Angeles County Life Sciences Advisory Board and as a founding board member of the Alliance for Southern California Innovation. He holds legal degrees from Hebrew University and the University of Connecticut.
