Dr. Vanderhart is a Managing Director at Secretariat in Washington, D.C. She is a Ph.D. economist with more than 25 years of experience serving as an expert witness in matters involving the quantification of economic damages, including claims of patent, copyright, and trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, contract disputes, employment discrimination, and expropriation by foreign governments. She has also worked on class actions and FIFRA cost compensation matters. Dr. Vanderhart has testified in federal and state courts, as well as in domestic and international arbitrations. She has been recognized by the Lexology Index and the IAM Patent 1000 and was named one of the top 25 patent damages experts for 2026 by CPVA.
Before joining Secretariat, Dr. Vanderhart was a managing director at Intensity. Earlier in her career, she founded and led the intellectual property practice at Analytics Research Group and held roles at other economic consulting firms. She also taught in the Economics and Management departments at Texas A&M University. Dr. Vanderhart has published on valuation, damages, and intellectual property and frequently speaks on these subjects at conferences and other professional programs.
Dr. Vanderhart is a member of the American Economic Association and the Licensing Executives Society. Within LES, she serves as Senior Vice President of the Education Committee, vice chair of the Washington, D.C. chapter, and an instructor for several courses, including Introduction to IP Damages, IP Licensing Basics, and Foundations in IP Valuation. She is also an associate member of the American Bar Association.
