Recognized by Managing IP as a 2026 Patent, Trademark and Transactions Star in Canada and by Lexpert as a 2025 Rising Star, Jayde Wood spent a decade in IP practice, most recently as a partner at a global law firm, working on patent and trademark portfolios, licensing, and transaction diligence across technology and life sciences. She now practises at Viridant IP, and is the founder of Manda, which turns the work a legal team has already done into a record it can ask. The layer above it is a data pool, with pseudonymised contribution, use without sight, equal written terms, and an explicit exit, and it puts a question licensing has answered before: how market participants can share what they know without harming competition while creating efficiency. She serves as Vice Chair of INTA’s Commercialization of IP Committee and Member-at-Large of the Canadian Bar Association’s National IP Law Section, and holds law degrees from the University of British Columbia and Berkeley Law.
